United - Rooney Injured!

As England crept into the last sixteen with a narrow win over Slovenia, there are concerns about Wayne Rooney.

The striker, who failed to score but rattled the post with a shot in the second half, appeared to turn an ankle on a pitch that had more give in it than Blackpool beach!

Struggling, Rooney was taken off to be replaced by Heskey as England survived a late Slovenia assault.

Having been beaten to the top spot in the group by a late USA goal, England will now play their first knockout game on Sunday as opposed to Saturday, thereby giving Wayne one more day to get fit.

Let`s hope Wayne makes it!

Being honest, he didnt really rattle the post!... the keeper pushed his tame shot onto the post! He's been *****e this world cup and i don't think we should defend him or any of the Ingerland muppets!...
