United - Rooney`s Humble Apology!

United - Rooney`s Humble Apology!

I`m not sure if Wayne Rooney awoke to realise the huge gaff he`d made or whether the spin-doctors had a word in his ear.

Whether it was the former or the latter is now irrelevant.

The nation is in crisis and Wednesday, against Slovenia, is our last hope, anything less than a win will see us knocked out, knocked out of a group that many thought would be laughably easy to get out of when the draw was made.

Therefore, we should read Wayne`s apology, digest it, accept it and move on.

Take it away Wayne,

"I am as passionate about the England team as anyone. Last night, on reflection, I said things in the heat of the moment that came out of frustration at both our performance and the result. The most important thing now is to regroup, be positive and work towards winning the game on Wednesday. To do this the players will need the support of the fans more than ever. For my part I apologise for any offence caused by my actions at the end of the game."

Right, that`s the end of that, let`s all get behind the team and whoever Fabio Capello elects to enter the last chance saloon on Wednesday afternoon!

He got someone to write that for him, he is as thick as ****. He is a moron and should be dropped for his outburst, its those English fans that pay his extortonist wages. Get Defoe on and score some goals Rooney has been found out he is not world class just an average footballer in a very good team. When he comes up against class defenders he doesn't know what to do.

nope, he showed what an ignorant person he is having a go at the fans, he should have been apologising to them as he walked off the pitch, not now after slagging them off. The modern players are too spoilt and don't understand or appreciate the life blood of the sport... the fans.
