United - Evra Doubtful of Qualifiying!

Whilst England mull over their chances of beating Slovenia to qualify, the French are in an even more hazardous predicament.

If England have been poor, then France have been very poor and now face the possibility of going into their final group match knowing their fate isn`t even in their own hands.

Captained by our own Patrice Evra, France play South Africa knowing they need a big performance to even stand a chance of reaching the last sixteen, something Evra has commented on as the media continue to hound Raymond Domenech and his French squad,

"We must do justice to the jersey in our game against South Africa."

"Despite all that has happened, we are still the French team and we have been a great footballing nation."

"We have to beat South Africa, but, as far as qualification is concerned, I do not believe in miracles."

Looks like the white flag is already being prepared if you ask me!

Stereotypical French giving up before it's even began, though i suppose he's just being realistic.

After fergie announced his plan to rest all of the world cup players - its seems they've all conspired to get knocked out as early as possible. Nani and Rio never got to play, whilst evra, rooney, carrick, vidic and park are all one match away from being knocked out - despite being amongst the early favourites to go through.

Tough for them but good for the club.... Lot of the first teamers will be in decent physical shape for the season.
