I never thought I`d get to use the word testicles and Wayne Rooney in the same sentence.
Especially if that said sentence wasn`t intended to offend the player.
However, ahead of our game with Algeria tonight, and on his sixty-fourth birthday, Fabio Capello has let us into a little secret.
Apparently, every time Wayne played Capello grabbed his own testicles with his fingers.
Now before you all think this site has gone a little too extreme and is heading towards something of a pornographic nature perhaps we should explain.
In Italy, fingering one`s testicles is seen as a method of warding off bad luck similar to us touching wood.
Therefore all Capello was doing was trying to ward off any injuries Wayne might pick up.
So next time you`re caught scratching your nuts you now know how to get out of an embarrassing situation!

It wasn't bad enough that the players looked dead and needed any more inspiration (as if playing in the worlds biggest tournament and representing your country wasnt enough) but the fact that Capello was far too stubborn and refused to make a change to the system and team when it was desperately needed really killed us off.
