French Star The Target

French Star The Target

According to today's newspapers, Manchester United are ready to enter the race for France international Franck Ribery.

The Marseille star is on the move, and L'Equipe says today United are ready to make a firm offer.

However it all depends if he wants to take the Premiership challenge, because French champions Lyon are still said to be the favourites to clinch the signature that would keep him in France.

Ribery is also wanted by Tottenham, who made an offer back in January.

The youngster told Reuters that coach Fernandez's exit from The Stade Velodrome has affected his wish to stay with Marseille.

Ribery: 'Jean Fernandez's departure has hurt me. He is someone that has counted on me a lot, and for sure his departure can have consequences for me.'
