I`d Come to United?

I`d Come to United?

The rumours continue to flow regarding possible arrivals at Old Trafford, although this latest rumour is more wishful thinking on a player`s behalf we believe.

Sat watching the World Cup and Uruguay`s opening fixture in particular, you couldn`t fail to be impressed by the goals scored (this season) by their strike partnership of Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez.

Now we all know about Diego Forlan but Suarez is another matter. The young striker, a mere twenty-three years of age, set Dutch football alight last season amassing 49 goals in 48 appearances for Ajax.

Several European clubs are looking at the striker but it would appear that if he were to come to the Premier League he`d only be interested in joining Manchester United.

We`re not sure that the young man is on Sir Alex`s shopping list though, are you?

For that price, based on his performance in the WC, no thanks. I would rather we make a bid for Podolski, maybe a swap deal with Tosic?
14/06/2010 18:36:00
Why would Koln trade a fairly prolific striker like Podolski for a Tossic like Zoran?
14/06/2010 23:59:00
fcb, I was being sarcastic :O I am still hoping Tosic gets a run out in the first team, we have never seen him play!

Podolski didnt really have a prolific season in the bundesliga as according to wikipedia he only scored two goals in 27 matches. Tosic even scored more than that and he was there for half a season, coming off the bench for most of it.

Also Suarez is a big game choker, I do not want him any where near our club for the price he is rated at.

Tosic's off to CSKA apparently. I think SAF will give more of our home grown players a chance this season and may make one midfield signing, and maybe a CB depending on Vida's return.
