United - Vidic Bound for Madrid!

United - Vidic Bound for Madrid!

Yesterday we reported on how Manchester City, according to some news agencies, were sniffing around Nemanja Vidic.

Today, the implication is that Vidic may well be the subject of a large bid but not from Manchester City. Various sources are implying that Jose Mourinho is ready to offer £30 million for the Serbian centre back.

It`s also suggested that United are keen to do business and that the deal could be concluded during the World Cup.

Bad news we`d say if it`s true!

If we were to sell him we should wait untill after the World Cup then we can demand more money if Serbia do have a really good campaign and if they don't we wont lose anything. Hopefully a bidding war ensues all this interest.

If the minimum bid is £30m I think we should definitely do business. As far as I'm concerned the fact that vidic needs time to consider an extension means he's not 100% happy. He's constantly getting injured and we've proven we can cope without him. If we could grab Chiellini for a reasonable price, I'd take the money and run.

Madrid paid 30 million euros for Pepe and he isnt half the player Vidic is and this was is in a time when the market wasn't as inflated. Surely this makes Vidic worth at the verly least 40 million. I guess this sort of move would pave the way for Kjaer as it would be pretty idiotic to make Smalling 2nd in line for a starting spot.

I wouldnt worry, you have Rio, Johnny Evans and Chris Smalling & £30million might just keep you afloat (joke) but seriously £30m is a massive amount for a player looking dodgier every season that goes by, if you can bring in Kjaer for £15m then its a good deal (That is if Fergie gets the other £15m to spend and it doesnt go on another Glazer seaside property)

30 million :) take it, run as fast as you ******** can and keep running!!!..... i love the guy, full of heart, brilliant defender but a 23 million profit for a player that has won 3 league titles and a european cup with us is money well spent but only if fergie gets the mulla to spend on new players, if not........... f u glazers!!!....

That kind of money and we should bite their hands off! We'll never replace him right away but investment in age will be cheaper and long term. Would hate to lose him though!
