United - Vidic Going Next Door?

Heavens above, not content with luring Carlos Tevez across Manchester, oil-money rich City are now trying to lure our Serbian centre back Nemanja Vidic to Eastlands.

The rumour mill is rife with the suggestion that City are preparing a 20 million bid for the player and are also prepared to pay him circa 115,000 a week as wel on a four year contract.

Furthermore, a friend of a friend, well a friend of Vidic`s agent reckons the deal could go ahead, remarking,

"We are waiting for nemanja to tell us what he wants to do. Any eventual transfer will take place only after the World Cup."

Will he go, surely not?

Its obviously not true. City would know that we wouldnt want to sell him to them so there offer would have to be at least double that. He has 2 years left on his contract, so neither city nor vidic can push this deal through even if they wanted to. Secondly, they arent in the champions league so they would have to offer Vidic far more than that to get him to step down. When you consider the reasons Vidic is ALLEGEDLY considering his future (his wife is unhappy in england), it makes no sense that he would even consider moving clubs within the same city. Its just the sun trying to sell papers.

If Vidic was to move it would be out of England all together. Also, if Man City were to make a bid it would have to be a completely stupid one.

If he goes to City it just proves he's money orientated!
merlin
Why would he go to City when the driving factor behind him leaving is his wife being cold in Manchester. Stupid report whoever made it. The press just seems to link every single player with City these days.

It's easier to list the players we've not been linked to this summer Khoder...
