United - Rooney Temper Overkill!

Okay so he broke the code of respect that has been hammered into players when it comes to the treatment of referees.

But with the media going into a frenzy;you`d think that Wayne Rooney had committed a criminal offence.

Every tabloid you pick up is now questioning whether Rooney is capable of holding it together throughout South Africa 2010.

Many are suggesting that it`s only a matter of time before Rooney lashes out, either physically or verbally, and receives a red card.

The ex-England centre back, Terry Butcher, has already come out and suggested that if he were a player for the United States he`d do everything possible to wind Rooney up knowing that he`ll explode.

Well don`t you believe it!

Fabio Capello will have words with our star striker and Wayne Rooney will behave himself.

Whatever next I ask, PaddyPower offering punters their money back if Wayne Rooney doesn`t get sent off in a match they bet on!

It`s all much ado about nothing, you`ll see!

Like i said when it comes to the occassion i think Rooney will be much more controlled, i doubt he would throw a paddy and risk the nations hopes of winning the world cup. Massive difference between a friendly and a World cup match.

He's got a short fuse but he's not thick! Well, not thick enough to do one in this WC too!

He has to consider that some of these referees will be from cultures where any use of swear words is offensive so he has to be careful as what he gets away with in the premier league wont be acceptable. Great to see our media drawing attention to it though, if there were any world cup referees who didnt intend to clamp down on every word that comes out of Rooneys mouth, they will now. I cant help but feel, that if Rooney gets sent off, whether he deserves it or not, the media are ready to turn on him like they did with becks.

it could go either way in my opinion! Saint or sinner?
merlin
Neither Merlin, just slightly over enthusiastic!

I personally think all the fuss is because he got himself sent off at the last world cup.
