United - Scholes on England`s Chances!

After his revelation, yesterday, that given more time he would have considered going to the World Cup more deeply, Paul Scholes has some interesting thoughts on the forthcoming tournament.

Scholes believes that England are in with a chance of winning, although he`s quick to point out that certain things will need to be in their favour.

Here`s an extract of an interview Scholes gave to the media, see what you think!

"They (England) can win it if things go their way. For a start they need to keep everyone fit."

"The squad is full of very good players but to go over there and actually win the World Cup, it helps if you have everyone in good shape."

"They haven`t had much luck in the build up game. Hopefully, there won`t be any more knocks."

"It`s obviously gutting for Rio, not just because he`s the captain but because his injury occurred so close to the start of the tournament."

"It will be quite an open World Cup. There are a number of teams who can go all the way - and England are one of them."

"There`s no shortage of talent in the team."

Do you agree?

Are England really in with a chance of winning 2010?

The England squad is more than capable of winning the world cup, its just when push comes to shove we dont have what it takes. Who knows though, this year we just might have 2 stars above the England badge and the team will hold their nerve.
