'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Nani Injury Blow!

After playing a grand role in our doomed title chase in the second half of the season, many football experts were naming our Portuguese winger, Nani, as one to watch in South Africa 2010.

Unfortunately, Nani has joined the growing list of players who will play no part in this much awaited tournament.

The Portuguese camp have released a statement that the injury sustained to his collar bone in training, on Friday, has ruled out his participation, explaining,

"After tests we conclude he is unfit to participate in the World Cup."

Let`s hope Nani makes a quick recovery in time for the return to pre-season training. At 23 the winger is young enough to overcome this disappointment.

I just feel this whole WC is cursed.I mean star players are dropping like flies as each week goes by.I just hope there are some stars left when the WC begins.

I prefer it they get injured now than midway during the season again.

Nani would have benefited from having a good world cup. Lets hope this setback gives him determination for next season rather than dent his confidence.

Raffa Benitez IS a great manager, he guaranteed he'd be managing a team in the Champions League next season and he will be.Unlike the bin dipping mugs who will be on Channel 5 on a Thursday night!

He'll be up for next season for sure! If he continues his form in the latter half, we have a world class winger who will get us those goals!
