'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Spot Kick Dilemma!

With the 2010 a little over a week away the country is cranking itself up for an exciting four weeks.

As the competition draws nearer, the eagerness for England to do well grows.

Past tournaments, involving England, have proven to be disappointing affairs with the three lions suffering heartache from the penalty spot.

This time around the emphasis has been placed on practice, practice and more practice.

But we all know practice, as far as penalties are concerned, does not make perfect. The pressure of scoring from twelve yards intensifies under the glare of the media.

Therefore, as a little something to keep us all amused, we thought we`d go for a little audience participation on Vital United.

If our fate is to, once again, be determined by a penalty shoot-out, which FIVE England players would you entrust with our World Cup survival?

RedBoy, it has to be Merlin, who else? I am thinking he was being sarcastic. Not that any of the others are brimming with confidence when it comes to penalties....
