United - A Familiar Face on Rooney!

He may have left Old Trafford for pastures new but Gerard Pique still remembers certain things about his time in England.

Pique, speaking about the forthcoming World Cup believes England have a decent enough squad to win the competition but that they need a sharp Wayne Rooney, read on,

"England have a sensational squad and Capello has been a massive influence on them. They have a very dangerous team."

"I know Rooney well and he is very important for England. In these tournaments, Rooney increases his work and always offers 150 per cent. He loves the big occasion."

"But he must recover his level that he showed with Manchester United this season. He needs to get that fitness and sharpness and if he can do that then England will have aspirations to win the title."

Do we not have aspirations every four years, aspirations that inevitably fade and die!

What a great player Pique has become.

We had to make a choice between Evans and Pique and I'm happy for him plus I have no doubts that Evans will be there as well.In the end no matter how well he did,we too would have to face a similar situation just like arsenal.

Pique seems far better on the ball than Evans is, we really should have got much much more for the lad!
