United - Rio on Injury Problems!

It is probably one of life`s great misconceptions that Rio Ferdinand had an injury hit season.

Okay, it may have seemed like that, particularly when our central defence had an emergency turn-out of Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher, but for the latter part of the season it surprised me to learn the following from Rio,

"I`m feeling good. I never though I`d miss the World Cup. I`ve only missed three games since February and never had any doubts that I`d be able to go."

Only three games - now that did surprise me!

Couple of seasons more, that should give time for the replacements to settle down. Let's hope he comes back okay from the WC.
