'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Rodwell`s not Coming!

For the last couple of days the vibes haven`t been positive with regards to luring the Everton youngster, Jack Rodwell, to Old Trafford.

Despite our apparent interest, David Moyes was adamant that his young star would be better served staying at Goodison Park and that`s how it appears to have turned out.

Everton have announced today that Rodwell has put pen to paper on a new five year deal that ties him to the club for the foreseeable future!

Some you win, some you lose!

He would have been a great signing but in the end its up to the player and he has made a pretty good choice in the end,he still has time on his side,so he can move in the future if Everton don't match his expectations but in the process he will surely improve as a player by playing regular football.

I guess he wanted regular first team footy to ignore the both of us!

He signed a contract, first off that means more leverage for the selling club and secondly, do we really need him right away?

elvido your having a laugh to think Rodwell even after he has signed a contract is going to sign for your dying club. You are so biased and brainwashed into thinking United are the only club players want to go to. When you as the question "do we really need him right away?" the answer is a big yes you certainly do. United are being left behind and don't stand a chance against the bigger clubs like City and Chelsea in the transfer market. Your debt riddled club is coming to an end of your success. Last season was just the start. Fergie won't be there forever and no manager including Moyes will want to go to United. You will become an average club pretty soon, your have already dropped down the ranks. No longer can you spend more money than the other clubs.

Hey BJ! back again I see!! Same costume, same jokes!! You obviously have nothing intelligent to add, apart from the debt line. Thought you would have figured a new tune since the last time you sang it! And we don't need him now, excellent prospect or not. Of course, I would be happy if we do buy him, but he isn't the creative player we need. Yes we are the most successful premier league club and I expect players to be hankering to sign for us. I am biased, DUH! I just find it very difficult to act on the opposite view! And BTW, bugger off!

The thing is BJ, whilst United certainly wont be outbidding Chelsea and City at the moment - what are those two going to do in about three years time when fifa introduce their financial fair play rules which are specifically designed to stop what UEFA consider "financial doping" by their rich owners?

Great work Jack!! Very happy to wrap him up, will be a great player in the future, hes already very handy!

Rodwell will be a star but not for several more years!
