United - Across the Pond for Pre-Season!

United - Across the Pond for Pre-Season!

With the 2009/2010 season fast fading in the memory banks, we can`t wait for the 2010/2011 season to start.

Off course there is the small matter of the World Cup to navigate through first but when that`s done and dusted the media coverage will soon focus on the battle to reclaim the Premier League crown, from Chelsea.

This summer, United head across the pond for their pre-season tour taking in a whole raft of fixtures to hone their match-fitness ahead of a Community Shield clash with Chelsea, heralded as the official curtain raiser for the season.

Whilst across the pond, the squad, probably bereft of some of the World Cup players, will undertake the following fixture schedule,

Celtic -Toronto - July 16th

Philadelphia Union - Philadelphia - July 21st

Kansas City Wizards - Kansas City - July 25th

MLS All-Stars - Houston - July 28th

Following the group of fixtures above, the first team squad then move into Mexico to fulfill a fixture that formed part of the deal for Hernandez, against Guadalajara, before heading back to the United Kingdom.

A lot of air miles, a lot of travel and a load of preparation as the new season approaches.

I was hoping to catch at least one of the matches in the US, i wonder if Chicharito will feature in more than one?
