United - Lightening to Strike Twice?

One rumour doing the rounds relates to a United bid for Jack Rodwell.

Rodwell, a product of the Everton Youth system, has already enjoyed some success in the Premier League attracting rave reviews.

According to rumour-control, Sir Alex is looking at spending £20 million of the Glazers money on Rodwell and is hoping that the bid will see off the challenge of Chelsea who have, reportedly, bid £16 million.

Not sure about the authenticity of the rumour but Rodwell is destined to have a fine future and wouldn`t it be strange if he too were to swap the blue of Everton for the red of United just like a young Wayne Rooney did!

Everton's chairman has already ruled out any move for Rodwell. And why wouldn't he? If Jack continues to develop, he'll soon be worth twice that amount. Old rumour, btw. Just some papers trying to dig up the crap.

Would be a great addition to Utd,if Everton decide to sell.Young,English and can develop his game further so SAF wouldn't mind spending that extra bit.

Everton could seel to bolster their team! They're not loaded you know!

Moyes again angrily refuted claims that they'll sell Jack. He warned anyone to come with a big fat cheque (lol) because they don't want to sell anyone. I just love it when he gets all angry, his face turns this wierd shade of red. Future United manager, I presume, he qualifies in this aspect!!!

I doubt we will bid for him this summer unless chelsea, city or arsenal appear to be making a move for his signature. The only time you see clubs saying that their best players are available is when they are desperate to sell. The 'not for sale' line is just standard negotiation.

Would be a great signing for the club Everton are just holding out for the 30 mil they got for Rooney.
TheFamousNo7
No place for him in the team this season, i guess it depends on how Anderson, Gibson and Carrick up their games this year. The manager has said that players will get more chances......
