United - Should We Have Let Forlan Go?

Watching the action from Hamburg last night, with Fulham falling at the final hurdle in their great attempt to secure a European trophy, it just had to be a certain Diego Forlan that got his name on the score sheet didn`t it!

Forlan, who never quite cut the mustard during his spell at Old Trafford, appears to have scored goals for fun wherever he`s been since leaving Manchester United.

His two goals last night were finished with aplomb and indicative of his prowess in front of goal in recent years, which got me thinking!

Were we right to sell him when we did or could he have gone on to bigger and better things, with United, if he was given more time?

This is a bit silly to tell u the truth,he had his chances, unfortunately he couldn't make the most of it and had to leave after that he has been fantastic in spain and we too have moved on,so I'll just say I'm happy for him after a poor spell at Utd,he has done remarkably well and deserves all the credit that he gets.

He had his chances and didn't make the cut, if he can't do it for us, there's no point in the "If"!

He under performed but also had some bad luck and wasnt really trusted. He was rarely given a run of games and when he did start scoring he was always dropped again relatively quickly. There might of been an element of the pressure getting to him but either way we couldnt keep him. Funny thing is Tevez went the same way and Berba probably will too.

True you cant doubt the man as tuscan rightly stated, tevez was in the same boat, now look at him.Its scary to think you guys had so much match winners who are literally carrying other teams.Madrid, citeh, athletico etc.
Chelsea24/7
a fairly conclusive NO then!
