United - Van der Sar on Title Race!

United - Van der Sar on Title Race!

Never give up hope was something a distant, now sadly departed, relative of mine once told me.

This weekend we may be snatching at straws but you just never know, Wigan may surprise the world and pull off a shock at Stamford Bridge, stranger things have happened.

As the weekends` fixtures approach, several players have given the media there opinion on the situation and one of those is our outstanding Dutch keeper, Edwin van der Sar.

The Dutchman has had a decent season and has been rewarded with a contract extension and with regards to the title race had this to say,

"It is very strange. In the last three years we have been in command. Now we have to wait."

"It is going to be difficult. We have lost a lot of games this year but we are still in there. Hopefully Wigan will go for it on Sunday and we will hear some positive news."

It`ll certainly be a tense time as we await news from the other fixture some 200 hundred miles away!
