'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United - Rooney Reflects!

It`s strange that although we`ve still got an outside chance of snatching the Premier League title from Chelsea`s grasp, quotes are emerging from the players that seem to indicate something of a mental inquest is going on.

With Sir Alex openly admitting that we`re clutching at straws some of the negativity seems to have rubbed off on his players, Wayne Rooney, who has had an exceptional season, is one of those and ahead of our fixture with Stoke City has the following quotes attributed to him in the tabloid press,

"If we could have stayed more consistent and not lost so many games we would have won the league but we`ve lost too many games."

"We shouldn`t be losing seven games at this club."

Come on boys, it isn`t over until the Fat Lady sings!

Sliding along a similar theme, Wayne also goes all morose on us over our cup defeats, remarking,

"The FA Cup defeat to Leeds was not good enough. As for the Champions League, we were a bit unlucky considering the way we started against Bayern."

"I couldn`t see us losing that tie. But we went out on away goals and it was hard to take."

These things happen, focus on Sunday and you just never know, that fourth consecutive title might well be ours!

There's a difference between being optimistic and delusional!

Well,in football you never know what will happen, the fact is we still have a chance but I do agree that Chelsea will most probably win it.
