United - Titles Are Not Lost in a Day!

United - Titles Are Not Lost in a Day!

Now that Chelsea lead the way and are expected to pick up the Premier League crown, the inquisition has already started!

The initial reaction is too look at Anfield but Edwin Van der Sar is far too level headed to kick out at our Scouse friends, instead he`s given a far more accurate assessment of where it all went wrong, explaining,

"You hope, but you don`t really expect, anyone else to do you any favours."

"Even if they had tried really hard, I think Liverpool had a gruesome two weeks, played a lot of games and picked up a couple of injuries."

"It`s not their fault we might not win the title this season. That`s happened over the course of the year ad some breaks we didn`t get and Chelsea got, especially in the last couple of weeks."

Some very interesting and stimulating thoughts from a keeper who has remained on top of his game all season.

Most fans would agree that we were lucky to still be with a chance so late in the season. We lost important players both through sales and injuries. Thankfully the standard at the top remained abysmal in parts and the standard in the middle has improved, making for a very unpredictable race. To blame it on one game would be akin to sticking your head in the sand. Everybody agrees that this was to be a season in transition.

Not to mention the Villa loss too! Overall I couldn't ask for more from the team, with the losses of Ronaldo and Tevez and the injuries we had throughout the season, I think we have every reason to be proud!

Yes the squad has done very well given the circimstances but to lose to chelsea at home was a killer blow. That was a big chance missed.
