Gibson, Scholes, Giggs, Nev All Set To Start Again

The club's official website published training images, showing the squad preparing for the Spurs game. And I'll attempt to guess the starting line-up based on these photos but beware: this will be pure speculation.

In training, players are usually split up and those selected to play in the starting line-up usually wear different outfit and their workload is differing as well.

Among those wearing normal red tops were Scholes, Gibson, Giggs, Vidic, Fletcher and Evra so we can assume that they will be in the starting line-up while the likes of Nani, Evans, Brown, Carrick and Berbatov will be on the bench at best.

So my predicted starting line-up, based on speculation that might be horribly off the mark, is as follows:

Van der Sar - Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra - Fletcher, Scholes, Gibson - Valencia, Rooney, Giggs

If this is the case then I have to ask Fergie: has he lost his faith in pace and zest? Only experience can prevail? Is it necessary to destroy Nani's confidence and momentum for the sake of Giggs playing a few more games? Rafael deserves such a lengthy punishment for a harsh sending off against Bayern, in a game in which he has excelled?

I cant wait to see Neville chasing his tail whilst Bale tears him a new a.ss hole. Shud be very entertaining indeed.

Spurs will capitulate - they always do against you!

No O'Shea? Could play instead of nev. Nani instead of Giggs? We could use the pace.

Experience is obviously important but when your facing a midfield as pacy, hungry and in form as the spurs boys are at the moment - I cant see how playing the old boys will help us. Fletcher, Gibson, Park, Nani and Valencia have the legs to match spurs and will stop our defence being exposed.

this has the makings of a great game and will be a game of who wins their personal battles, there are some very mouthwatering face-offs, some are even some you will be stronger but others will be ours. this game i always hated but also couldn't wait for as its a chance to see how we have progressed. imho i think we are a fair match now (fingers crossed)

Giggs again? why?? i dont get it... he's not fast anymore, his passing is crap and way too "optimistic", trying to thread a pass through 6 players, and he keeps getting out muscled on everything. Scholes is still one of my favourites, lately he's been playing great.
