It looks like the Glazers might just be under some genuine pressure now. The green and gold campaign has been ridiculed but the Red Knight bid is looking serious and now the more, ahem, active groups have taken another step against the Glazers.
The list of companies and VIPs who pay for corporate hospitality at Old Trafford has been published; media reports confirmed that the organisation called United Supporters for Change is behind it. They define themselves as a non-violent action group but it is being suggested that other, more radical factions could take advantage of learning the names and 'stretch the boundaries of law', as one paper so eloquently put it.
While any sort of violence is certainly non-desirable, these companies could feel the effect of the list financially - remember the rumours that Vodafone had ended its association with United because the Glazers' lack of popularity would have affected their income as well, because of the massive number of United fans who had been, even back then, determined to boycott everything related to the Glazer family.
In other news, Deloitte, one of the world's biggest business organisations have given its support to the Red Knights' takeover attempt and is ready to help with advice to investors, no doubt hoping for a healthy profit in the process. The Red Knights are taken seriously in the business world, that's for sure - it looks like everything depends on the Glazers' plans and their ability to handle pressure.
