Hargreaves In The Squad For Tomorrow

Owen Hargreaves has been included in the first team squad for the first time since September 2008. The Canadian born midfielder has had two knee surgeries in the meantime and his return to action has been delayed several times. Sir Alex hinted that Hargreaves might not return before next season but he's included him in the squad for tomorrow's derby game at the Wastelands.

Wayne Rooney is still doubtful as it's unsure how his ankle will react to the intensity of a derby game, even though he's been training well. Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand are also doubts but John O'Shea is fit, having come off with what looked like an injury at Ewood Park. Sir Alex said it was probably just tiredness with him.

Wayne Rooney will start - YOU ARE that desparate. Whether he finishes the game or not is another matter entirely, and I think taggart is doing both the player and England a bid disservice by even considering him. Hargreaves? He must be a bit rusty after so long out.

Hargreaves is a great player and I'm sure he will prove all the doubters wrong.

Not saying he's not a quality player Khoder, as we all know he is - just can't see him coming into a match as intense as a local derby and coping after such a long time out of action. Why would fergie risk playing him if you weren't desparat?
