'If It's Football, It's Vital'

They See It At Last: Liverpool Is A Sinking Ship

Just days after Fernando Torres confirmed that he would have to think about his future in the summer because Liverpool need to sign at least five quality players to compete at the very top, another Spaniard, Alberto Riera declared that he's had enough of Anfield and Benitez.

"I`ve been here two years and he never manages the situation by talking to players. He thinks he is the boss and everyone else is deaf. The dialogue with the players is practically zero," he said about Rafa Benitez.

"We don`t play nice football. Effective, yes but not nice. This year has been difficult and nothing has changed. When you see a ship sinking and do not change..."

Uh-oh. I guess we all know the reason why Riera isn't playing: he's not suffering from the delusions so common on Merseyside. He sees Benitez as a manager who is simply not good enough.

OK, there is another reason as well: that Riera is an underwhelming footballer, one of Rafa's many wastes of money. Still, at least he was honest enough to say what any sensible man can see: that Liverpool are a sinking ship. Any player who gets an offer should jump while they can.

And to think that they were predicted to win the league before the start of the season, and not just by Liverpool fans but by respected football journalists as well. Strange.

Oh look, another Liverpool related article. In case your crew of glory hunters haven't noticed, your club is on the verge of financial ruin, just like us. Also Riera is crap, would explain why he isn't getting a game. As for wastes of money...Kleberson anyone?

HAHAHA dude you should change the title of this page to Vital Manchester (obsessed with Liverpool) United...then your fans know what the theme of the day is going to be when they log on. You wouldn't want ppl looking for united information on here and get disappointed..

Methinks the septics are a little too confident going into this one (like they were for the last 3)...
