The Official Site Got It Wrong About Bordeaux

The Official Site Got It Wrong About Bordeaux

We now know the potential opponents for the Champions League quarter-finals after Barcelona destroyed Stuttgart and Bordeaux wriggled past Olympiakos. However, doing a brief evaluation of all seven teams, the official website made a mistake.

'Bordeaux, on the other hand, have never played a competitive game against United' the report says but of course this is not true. United met Bordeaux in the 1999/2000 season in the short-lived second group stage of the Champions League. The Reds won both games, 2-0 at Old Trafford and 2-1 at Stade Lescure, with a late Solskjaer goal.

So, don't get fooled. We DID meet Bordeaux and we did win twice. More about them and all the other potential opponents tomorrow. Good night!

How could they forget that considering the modern age we live in. It would take something like a whole 30 seconds just to check. By the way thanks for highlighting to the rest of the world our club's official website's amateurism.
