Ronaldo Knows The Value Of Manchester United

The vultures are well and truly circling over Real Madrid after their shocking exit from the Champions League and two players are under more scrutiny than any of the others: Kaká and Cristiano Ronaldo, the 2007 and 2008 winners of the Ballon d'Or.

Kaká totally failed to live up to his hefty price tag and even Ronaldo is criticised though his record of one goal per game speaks for itself. He is the Champions League top scorer as well so he can hardly be faulted for Real Madrid's failings. But that's the culture of the club: blame everyone and everything regardless of the facts. And it wasn't like that at United.

"Cristiano knows the value of Manchester United,' Fergie told The Sunday Express.

'That`s the thing. What the players have got here is protection. They come to training every day and there is nobody here to disturb them.'

"I don`t think Real Madrid is an easy club to play for. There is a circus attached to it. There are often loads of fans and an intensive media always filming them."

So, would he ever come back?

"You would like to think that one day he will come back, but you never know. I don`t think he will stay at Real Madrid for life or anything like that.

"There will be other challenges and he is that type of player who welcomes them."

True. And it was Ronaldo himself who admitted to missing Sir Alex and his ways and it was Ronaldo who failed to rule out a return to Old Trafford. Of course it won't happen in the next five years or so but still, it would be nice to see him in our shirt once again, if he's not totally past it by then.

Be good to see him come back - but it will NOT be for 80 mill!

Funny every player gets an orgasm at the slight mention of madrid yet most watch dreams get broken. Not guaranteed playing time, big egos, cocky president, media circle & what not yet every time players say "Madrid's my dream move." They change players like socks but players dont care they still wanna go.

Even Faubert from West ham made a brief stint there last year.Whats also funny is when they unveil a high profile player at the bernabeu its almost mandatory to french kiss the badge in front of 80000 fans.

He will never get the protection that he got at Utd and unfortunately he will have to carry the burden of Madrid's failure.

Just look at Kaka's position at Madrid and then try to recall his days at Milan, isn't it a huge difference. The price tag of these two players will always put keep them in the limelight.
