'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hargreaves Back - Can That Possibly Be True?

For the first time since his operations, Owen Hargreaves seems ready for first-team football. That's what Sir Alex Ferguson said and for the first time ever, he set an exact return date for Hargreaves.

The Calgary-born man is pencilled in for next Thursday's Reserves league game against Manchester City which means that don't get excited, he won't be at Wolves tomorrow and it's very unlikely that he'll play against Fulham next Sunday.

But still. He could, if I'm optimistic, be on the bench against Liverpool. He could feature in as many as 8 league games. He could show that he's still alive, that he's still a footballer, that he still wants to wear the Manchester United shirt. And that's so much more than I've been hoping for recently...

Is this the light at the end of the tunnel? Hopefully, yes. And hopefully, the light isn't the train speeding towards us...

Glad to see him back - can he gate-crash the 2010 squad though?

agree with all of you and especially bluethrough....I just wish there are no mental issues(you know afraid of going into tackles watching out for the knee..etc..) as well as God willing no more physical set backs....england needs him....even more so united needs him

It would be great to see him play again this season however I doubt that management would risk it considering how close the title race is going to be, unless he really impresses in training or in the reserves.
