Beckham: United Fans Are Still Important To Me

David Beckham was dropped from Milan's starting line-up at Bologna on Sunday but he is almost certain to be back against United as loanee Amantino Mancini is ineligible for the Champions League while Pato is still not fit.

And if he gets the nod he'll keep his emotions at bay in the event he manages to put one past Edwin van der Sar.

'Sometimes emotion can get the better of you when you score but I do not think I would celebrate,' he told Inside United.

'I respect the supporters and the club. The relationship I have with the fans is still important to me.

'I went through some difficult times but they never stopped supporting me. I would not have got through everything without them. To me they are the best fans in the world and the support they gave me week in, week out was incredible. Nothing will ever better that.''

Well said David. We're very much looking forward to seeing you at Old Trafford again. Hopefully he won't have reason to celebrate anyway.

He WAS loyal to the club - but his wife got involved too much - still would rather have him than most players in the premiership though - he had heart and could put a footie on a tanner form 40 yeards!

He was awesome, but I still hope we smash him when he comes back to Old Trafford.

He was virtually forced out by Fergie, can't really blame him for that. I hope he'll score a goal when we're four up in the second leg!

Great player for utd, while probably not as good as ronaldo he certainly was a lot more respected and did his job admirably. was a loss to the league as a whole when he left.

Zae, Can it be the other way around please? Becks to score an og after Milan go 4 up. :)

lolol - doubt he will score an OG - but we do seem to be getting a few lately
