Hargreaves Will Be Named In CL Squad - Again

Sir Alex revealed that Owen Hargreaves will be named in United's Champions League squad. The midfielder hasn't played a competitive game for the club since September 2008 but he should finally be able to make his comeback soon - though still no date has been set.

'Owen Hargreaves is still training with the Reserves,' Sir Alex said.

'He`s done three sessions with us [the first team] and he did very well in Qatar. I will probably name him in my Champions League squad when I finalise it.'

We may rejoice but actually there's not much to cheer about. Owen Hargreaves was named in the squad for the group stages and Fergie hoped he would play in the last three games but needless to say he hasn't featured at all. His comeback has been delayed time and time again and the fact that Fergie has still not put a timescale on it speaks volumes. We're luck if we see him play at all this season.

So true. Its just a shame that he is not with us.I was actually hoping that he will play against Milan but it seems to be nothing more than wishful thinking.

It means fletcher will have to be wrapped in cotton wool as he is the only other player who can break up the opposition's play and distribute it to our attacking players.

From and England point of view I miss Owen not playing... if Fergie doesn't think he'll come back from this injury it seems odd to keep holding on - he didn't with Saha... and he is useful cover up front.

Have missed watching him play this last year or so - hes one quality player

Hargreaves is a much more talented player than fletcher. If he comes back and plays the way we used to we will certainly be able to beat the best teams, both in Europe and England.
