Ferdinand To Face Hull City Tomorrow

At last. Rio Ferdinand is ready to make his long-awaited comeback from injury: he will play tomorrow against Hull City, according to Fergie.

'I think Rio will play against Hull, which is good news,' he said.

'He`s been training very well in the last two weeks so it`s time to bring him back.

'It`s a big boost because we`ve had a rough time at the back with Rio, Edwin van der Sar, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidic and John O`Shea all being injured at one stage or another.'

Sir Alex added that Vidic 'is about two weeks away' which means that Ferdinand will partner Evans in the centre, with Rafael probably getting the nod at right-back again.

Earlier Fergie had insisted that the club really wanted to get to the core of Ferdinand's back problems so let's hope that from now on he'll be able to complete the season without injury problems. He'll have to be watched carefully of course but he should play in most games because we need him desperately at the back.

Lets hope for the best when it comes to Rio because when fit he is probably the best centre back out there and his presence will only make our back line stronger.

Be good to see Rio playing again and hope he plays well and gets his confidence back ready for summer

I don't really expect him to play well in this oming game mainly due to the fact he hasn't played for such a long time. If he doesn't get back to his best I really think we should be sold, and hopefully the money we get from him we can spend on someone like Kjaer.
