Berbatov Felt His Knee Again

It is very, very doubtful that United will be able to delay Dimitar Berbatov's knee surgery until the end of the season as the Bulgarian felt it again during the game against Burnley. Berba scored despite the pain and was soon hauled off.

'Dimitar was feeling his knee again,' Sir Alex said.

'He's played through it. He could have come off at half time but he wanted to stay on, which is good. We'll look at it on Monday again.'

As long as we postpone the surgery, Berba's season will go like this: playing through the pain, regular checks after the games to see if it can be sustained... Not easy, this. The surgery might be the better option though Berbatov has no World Cup to look forward to.

It would be really unfortunate to see Berba miss the rest of the season because of this, he really needs the oppurtunity to try and win back the fans and justify his transfer fee. Also we seem to play our best football when he is on the field.
