Van der Sar Ready To Return Against Burnley

Edwin van der Sar is set to be fit and available against Burnley tomorrow, according to Sir Alex Ferguson. The 38-year-old keeper has missed several weeks through injury and because of his wife's illness but both he and his wife have recovered now.

'Edwin has come back to training and has done very well,' Fergie said.

'He has been out for a few weeks and it is great to see him back. He will give us so much experience when he eventually does come back, which is important to us.'

'It [whether he plays against Burnley] depends how Edwin feels but he has been training very well,'

He should start so he gets a little sharpness back ahead of the trip to City in midweek. Hopefully he won't have too much to do, in either game...

His presence should surely help the defence and his experience should be a key in the title run in.
