Gary Neville To Quit At The End Of The Season

The Sun believes that Gary Neville will retire from professional football when his current contract expires at the end of the season. He hasn't received a new deal yet, unlike fellow oldies Giggs and Scholes and he might never get one.

In truth, it would be hardly unexpected as ever since his devastating injury, picked up against Bolton in March 2007, he's been offering less and less to the team. He's way past it now, usually off the pace quite embarassingly.

But he's always painfully up for it, he can never be accused with lack of trying. He'll be a Red forever but he no longer possesses the required amounts of quality. I just hope we can win the league again so he'll get a grand farewell, holding the trophy aloft for all to see.

if it's true don't bring the collection plate down our way!
merlin
Aw, we really wanted him to go on forever! Honest!

It'll be sad to see him go but its probably best for the team, the hard part will be the replacing leadership he brought with him to every game. I wonder who next club captain will be. Probably Giggs unless they pick for the future rather than a season.
khoder
Khoder,Rooney surely is the one to grab the captaincy post.
Antriksh (abmtd)
As far as gary is concerned,he has been a fantastic player, leader and is surely a part of the huge Utd family. All good things have to come to an end an Gary should just be proud to have played such a crucial role for Utd and England.
Antriksh (abmtd)
We already have a readymade replacement in rafael.I just hope he stays fit because if he does stay fit both he and valencia can form a devastating partnership down the right side for Utd.
Antriksh (abmtd)
He shall be missed. No, really.
BlueWolfie
Shame it has to come to an end but on the positive we get to see more of Rafael.

Is it true he turned down a move to Citeh, just to boost his pension?
buzz lightyear
No Buzz, we turned him down - he failed the job interview for cleaning the away end toilets. Pity, sure he could have done a job for us cleaning up the away fans' jobbies.

N***** has spent enough time with his tongue wedged up S** A*** F*******'* a*** he would be over qualified. The next job up is manure's youth team coach DRIVER. The tide is turning, the EPL is going from rags to riches and remember, you read it here first.

8/1 for the burnley job. is it worth putting a dollar or two on it or do i need to take out a bond that the Glazers are offering? I wonder if that gary's thought, going into management, but that means leaving Mr Ferguson.
