Diouf Ready For United Debut

I don't know if it's an honour or not but Mame Biram Diouf has been handed the no. 32 shirt previously worn by Carlos Tevez. The Senegal striker is ready to make his Manchester United debut, according to Sir Alex who has been impressed by the 22-year-old's performance in trainings.

'He has adapted very well to our training regime and has looked very impressive,' Fergie told Inside United.

'He is quick, very good in the air and a good striker of the ball. Overall, he is a really good centre-forward and he will play a part this season.'

Is he the new Manucho? Well, Manucho wasn't quick and Diouf played football in Europe before signing for United, as opposed to the Angolan who was snapped up from Africa. According to the Manchester Evening News, he's been likened to Louis Saha by the staff which is good enough for me - unless he's as injury-prone as the Frenchman.

During the bellion, kleberson, djembax2 period we stumbled across the artist formerly known as CR7. Lets hope between Obertan, Valencia, Owen and Diouf there's another gem (for the record, my money is not on Owen).

To be honest, whats the worst he could do? Come off the bench, immediately get a chance and then drill his shot into the ground? That'll be nothing new to us!

If Ole Solskjaer has recommended him then he has to have something.Lets hope for the best.

Finishing cant be no worse than what weve already got and you never know he might end up being that finishing touch we desperately need up front.

Hey, stop knocking Owen, he's one of the best things you've got. Cherish him, look after him, wrap him in cotton wool until May and then do the same again in August.

He looked crap.

No crapper than Sturridge or that muppet you loaned out to Blackburn. Now he is ***** poor!
