Ruud Backs Out Of Keane Testimonial

Ruud van Nistelrooy's future is to be discussed on Tuesday, but he looks certain to back out of Roy Keane's testimonial.

Alex Ferguson places team spirit among the highest on his list of priorities and there has been plenty of evidence from Van Nistelrooy's body language over the past three months to suggest he is not buying into the collective ethic.

And, while the list of players who have fallen foul of Ferguson's ruthless streak is extensive, including as it does Jim Leighton, Paul Ince, Jaap Stam and David Beckham, those who have lived to tell the tale are non-existent.

Only on Friday, Van Nistelrooy was talking about his commitment to playing in Roy Keane's testimonial on Tuesday.

Instead, his next competitive game seems likely to be in Holland's forthcoming friendly against Cameroon on May 27 with this summer's World Cup the shop window from which he will hope to gain a move which will salvage his career.

Serves him right. A big head who's head got bigger. Good for Sir alex for not accepting his disruption and petty tantrums.

"You'll Never Walk Alone: When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of the storm Is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Tho' your dreams be *****ed and blown Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Fields of Anfield Road: Outside the Shankly Gates I heard a Kopite calling Shankly they have taken you away But you left a great eleven Before you went to heaven Now it's glory round the Fields of Anfield Road. All round the Fields of Anfield Road Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play) We had Heighway on the wing We had dreams and songs to sing Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road Outside the Paisley Gates I heard a Kopite calling Paisley they have taken you away You led the great 11 Back in Rome in 77 And the Redmen they are still playing the same way All round the Fields of Anfield Road Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play) We had Heighway on the wing We had dreams and songs to sing Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road Liverbird Upon my Chest: Here's a song about a football team The greatest team you've ever seen A team that play total Football They've won the league, Europe and all. A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May With Kenny Dalglish on the ball He was the greatest of them all And Ian Rush, four goals or two Left Evertonians feeling blue A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May Now if you go down Goodison Way Hard luck stories you hear each day There's not a trophy to be seen 'Cos Liverpool have swept them clean A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May Now on the glorious 10th of May There's laughing reds on Wembley Way We're full of smiles and joy and glee It's Everton 1 and Liverpool 3 A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May Now on the 20th of May We're laughing still on Wembley Way Those Evertonians are feeling blue It's Liverpool 3 and Everton 2 A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May And as we sang round Goodison Park With crying blues all in a nark They're probably crying still at Liverpool 5 and Everton nil. A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May We Remember them with pride Those mighty reds of Shankly's side And Kenny's boys of '88 There's never been a side so great A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May Now back in 1965 When great Bill Shankly was alive We're playing Leeds, the score's 1-1 When it fell to the head of Ian St John A Liverbird upon my chest We are the men, of Shankly's best A team that plays the Liverpool way And wins the championship in May On April 15th '89 What should have been a joyous time Ninety six Friends, we all shall miss And all the Kopites want justice (JUSTICE) Other popular songs: Scouser Tommy, When the Reds go marching in, Red and White Kop, Li-ver-pool Rafa Benitez (La Bamba): Ra Ra Ra Rafa Benitez, Ra Ra Ra Rafa Benitez Xabi Alonso, Garcia and Nunez Rafa Benitez, Rafa Benitez. Scouser Tommy Let me tell you the story of a poor boy Who was sent far away from his home To fight for his king and his country and also the old folks back home. So they put him in a highland division Sent him off to a far, foreign land Where the flies swarm around in their thousands and there was nothing to see but the sand. Well, the battle it started next morning Under the radiant Sun. I remember that poor scouser Tommy he was shot by an old nazi gun. As he lay on the battlefield dying, dying, dying with the blood gushing out of his head, of his head As he lay on the battlefield dying, dying, dying These were the last words he said:- Oh I am a Liverpudlian and I come from the Spion Kop. I love to sing, I love to shout and I go there quite a lot, every week!. We support the team that's dressed in red It's a team that you all know It's a team that we call Liverpool and to glory we will go. "
