Fergie To Stick With Fringe Players Against Citeh

Many United fans would certainly like to see the strongest team in the two upcoming cup matches, against two hated rivals but Fergie is unlikely to risk the key players against either Leeds United in the FA Cup or at Manchester City in the Carling Cup.

'I will stick with the principle of picking young players on Wednesday,' the boss said.

'That is what we have done in the Carling Cup and we are not changing that.'

Gabriel Obertan, Darron Gibson, the Da Silva twins and Danny Welbeck are all expected to start but it will be interesting to see who gets picked alongside them, now that we have more than just 16 or 17 fit players. Because don't believe whatever Fergie says: he won't want City to embarass our reserves with their strongest team, he won't want to give them the chance to win something after more than three decades...

not a chance, now he has to play his first team not matter what or he stands to be out of both domestic cups within a week, he needs to show that he can still put out a team capable of challenging, because he thought his seconds could do it like the gooners can, but they showed that they can't against Leeds. It is now a must win against city.
