Ruud For Torres?

Ruud For Torres?

If the papers are to be believed today, United are reportedly ready to swap Ruud van Nistelrooy for young Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres.

Torres, nicknamed 'El Nino', is said to be one of the best young talents in European football.

Van Nistelrooy meanwhile appears to be on his way out of Old Trafford, and the Sunday People claims Sir Alex Ferguson sees Torres as the perfect replacement for the Dutchman.

The tabloid says Atletico want van Nistelrooy plus a whopping £14.5million to land El Nino. With van Nistelrooy valued at around £12million that would take the total package to more than £26million.

The People claims United have already had talks with Atletico, but says they have stalled due to the Spanish club's demands.

This is such a stupid move. Atletico Madrid has said Torres isn't for sale and I hope that's true. So much we could do with the value of that package. Either keep ruud and buy a good mid for 16 mil, or sell him and buy an AMAZING mid for 26 mil. jeez. With all due respect, Sir Alex needs to put talent before attitude. not that Ruud has such a bad attitude. you try being the best 18 yard finisher and never starting.
