Beckham Wants To Return To Manchester

David Beckham hopes that AC Milan will draw United on Friday when the pairings for the last 16 of the Champions League will be made. He wants to return to Old Trafford, something he hasn't done since 2003 bar for a charity game in 2007.

'I would really like to face my former team in the next round,' he said.

'Since I left in 2003, I have not returned to play at Old Trafford. Seven years have gone by and I would like for that to happen.

'Me against Manchester, it would be beautiful, wouldn't it?'

It would have a kind of romance to it, we must admit. One thing is certain: he would get a rousing reception even as an opponent. We'd greet you as a long lost brother, as the prodigal son.

Not sure about prodigal son and all that. But guess I would rather face him and Milan than Ronnie and RM.

If we be clinical when we create chances then I don't really fear any team.

Happy with the draw some good ties generally speaking. Milan are a good side in which to see how far we've come as a team.
