No Campbell Move - Our Defenders Will Be Fit Soon

No Campbell Move - Our Defenders Will Be Fit Soon

Fortunately, it appears that United won't have to resort to desperate measures in order to have centre-backs play in the back four. There was much talk about a move for free agent Sol Campbell but Sir Alex dismissed the rumours.

'I don't know where this came from, but it is all wrong,' he said.

'Sol Campbell was a great player, but he is not a player we are thinking about getting to come to United. Jonny Evans could be back in 10 days and John O'Shea will be with us in January.

'We are having a hard time with centre-backs at this moment in time but I am sure by January most of them will be back.'

Evans back in 10 days? That would be just absolutely brilliant. In that case no need for 35-year-old stop-gap solutions.

Sol Campbell? Thank the heavens this never happened. If he wanted to play for us he should have joined in 2001 instead of being a greedy Bazterd and stabbing his boyhood club in the back and joining l'arse. The audacity to even release a statement linking himself to our club makes me sick. Want to talk about players chasing money and not careers Campbell is the patron Saint of England when it comes to that.
