United Get Citeh In The Carling Cup Semi-Final

The draw for the Carling Cup semi-final pitted Manchester United against Manchester City. The first leg will be played at Eastlands where Citeh steamrollered Arsenal tonight, winning 3-0. It will not be that easy against us, for sure.

I wonder if Fergie will play all the kids again? We'll find out in January but I guess a lot will depend on our league position and the fixtures around the two semi-final games.

We aren't exactly guaranteed a place in the final seeing as city will most likely field their top team against a 2nd string united side as this is the only trophy they are likely to get their hands and they need it a lot more than united do in order to convince the fans that all that money spent in the offseason was money well spent. Good luck to both teams.

Have to agree with khoder, they will most probably field their top players against our 2nd string team and if this happens, then its going to be a roller coaster ride for us.

But then again, its a chance for our young ones to prove their mettle and quality against a top quality opposition.

If Taggart goes the same route as Winger, and fields young-blood, it will be difficult for you to get something over the two legs. A lot of people are going to be very interested in this game(s).

Will be the kids I think, maybe a stronger bench, very interesting games...

Can't wait for all the cliche references to it being the master vs the apprentice, as if Hughes was born yesterday. Bollox to the pair of yer. A bunch of overblown mercenaries vs Surrey United in the soda pop cup.

And BlueWolfie, a lot of people will be interested. In Manchester. It's becoming very clear that Chelsea are the only team that mean anything this season. This maybe about local pride, but in the scheme of things it's too bald men fighting over a comb.

thanks for the compliment - would have been nice to stay in the Carling Cup though!

This time lets smash them without giving them a chance to get back into the game.

You wish OU 23. We are going to be so up for this game that even a bent ref won't save you this time.
