'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ronaldo: Manchester And United Both Suit Rooney

Cristiano Ronaldo does not want to play with Wayne Rooney again; or at least, not now. He told Sport-Express that Rooney was better off at Manchester United.

'He's a great footballer who has been playing in one of the strongest leagues in Europe, so of course he would be able to play in Spain.

'In the last few years he has shown his level and I believe that in Spain he would show the same quality. We still talk on the phone from time to time, but we don't talk about him coming to Real.

'I think it's better that he stays at United. Rooney is an Englishman and he likes Manchester. The city and the club suit him.'

And Rooney knows that which is why he will stay. However, it's worth to stop for a moment and mention the supposed 85 million pounds bid that Barcelona are allegedly preparing for Rooney. Put aside the fact that they could barely accomodate him: this is a club that's struggling to get Robinho and tries to devise schemes that would see the Brazilian going to the Nou Camp on loan...

Barcelona and for that matter Spanish teams in general consistently press the self destruct button on themselves I mean £70 million deal for Ibrahahimovic including E'too going the other way, thats crazy. E'too is class. These stories were bound to start once Ronaldo left. They won't go away either I can still remember when Cantona was linked with a £10 million move to Inter Milan and later Real Zaragoza, neither happened. Rooney won't leave and go to Spain, he's too English.

So, Rooney and yoonited suit one another do they? Since when did he become a soulless, plastic, glory-hunting, corporate whore with no regard for his own fans and an over inflated opinion of his own worth?
