Liverpool Can Always Cheer Us Up...

It was a sickening weekend: Arsenal scored an avalanche of own goals, Chelsea beat us undeservedly, with plenty of help from Martin Atkinson - really, only our performance at Stamford Bridge put some gloss on this horrible weekend.

Until now. Because no matter how bad your day is, you can count on Liverpool to cheer you up it seems. Beachball goal, injury time goals almost knocking them out of the Champions League, Rafarants - and now the supposed title favourites could not win at home against Birmingham despite referee Peter Walton awarding them a distinctly dodgy penalty.

Oh well. It's not exactly a miracle that most papers got their title predictions wrong, again. And it's certainly funny, seeing them battering Liverpool after they hailed them as champions-in-waiting.

You lot are obsessed with us. What is it? Is it those 5 European Cups?!!!
trader
Exactly the same as when we drop points or lose an importnat game. Whats the matter bin dipper can't handle it?
NotoriousRedDevil
Didn't think the rags would be clutching at straws this early in the season.
fifthcolumnblue
@NotoriousRedDevil we might enjoy watching your lot lose or drop points but to sit down and write an article about everything you team does like Zea does about us is really really sad. As fifthcolumnblue said it seems that zea is clutching at straws.

I have to agree with klutch...I was having a good laugh when i saw the score at 2-1 and was very disappointed to see it go to 2-2(didn't watch the game..duh) but i think its getting too much...i think we talk alot about liverpool than utd at times....to me they're no longer a threat whatever is happening in the background has derailed them abit i think...i don't know if they could come back from 11pts down(even tho its early in the season)....but yeah i would rather focus on our results...
ibrahiy
"clutching at straws" eh? FCB and Klutch, United do not need to klutch at anything, we have enough trophies to hold on to in case we do feel a little shaky. And shaky is one more thing that a Mancunian is pretty alien to. Trust me, you don't want to deal with what's been the norm in the league, us picking up another trophy or two and you claiming it's going to be your year next year.

I'm still confused to why Liverpool ever were considered title favorites this season. They sold their best player of last season, replaced him with a player thats as injury prone as Owen Hargreaves and their two best players are extremely injury prone and to top it off they spend close to 20 million on a right back that can't defend, problem they struggled with most last season. It hardly seems like the recipe for success. And to all you people giving it to Zae for writing this article why the hell do you care what is written on a united forum it seems like you are more obsessed than us, it was a hard weekend for us and Zae was only trying to cheer us up geez.
khoder
Pretty pathetic article Zae to be honest. You actually never reply to any posts or comments!!!... I'm born and breed UNITED and i am wondering where you come from and how many games you ave ever been to in your life??????? You write alot of *****e but never respond or reply or back up any of your opinions. You are obsessed with the scouse scum but it makes u look like an obsessed ******** clueless ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
java
Java - Here they are just as obsessed with City too, even though we apparently are no threat...
BlueWolfie
Our success has bred a generation of very bitter people who see no problem with *****ing themselves with laughter at our every misfortune - we have to accept that. Win, lose or draw our detractors will always have some opinion that just cannot be contained and must be inflicted on every united fan that is willing to read it. However, its all just banter in the end. City are consoled by their money and their dreams, whilst Chelsea can always take heart from having proven themselves worthy opponents in the hunt for the quadruple each year - which is why their fans can still come here and taunt us at every opportunity - we afterall have the pleasure of using trophies to catch our tears. Each set of fans can abuse the other safe in the knowledge that they are in some small way "superior" to their rivals. Liverpool fans however, are here in far fewer numbers - because lets be honest - as a liverpool fan right now, there isnt much to laugh about. I'm always up for laughing at liverpool privately, but Vital Manchester United are essentially kicking a dead dog in the face and laughing with these articles. It was fine to laugh at liverpool when we dashed their hopes of winning a title last year - but laughing at them now - when they don't even have the type of hopes worth dashing - is a bit much.
tuscan3000
and there were we thinking the scousers thought we were obsessed with them!

elvido - Just pointing out the obvious about Zea, he has written at least 8 articles about us in the last 2 months. I'm just asking why? Itís all good to have banter among teams but I don't see Vital Spurs writing articles about Arsenal all the time or Vital Villa writing about Birmingham, In fact I don't know of any other Vital writer write anything about their biggest rival as much as Zea writes about us. I'm just wondering why doesnít he just come to VL and have a go like the rest of the vital community. Why doesnít he ever reply to any comment posted to him or argue his point? Why write something and hide? Isnít that the biggest sign of a cow*rd?
