Hargreaves Back In Three Weeks

Hargreaves Back In Three Weeks

Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Owen Hargreaves will be back in three weeks time as the central midfielder is making excellent progress after recovering from his knee surgeries.

'Owen is doing a lot of good work now,' Fergie said.

'He is making great progress, which we are very pleased about.

'It is not a thing you have to rush because he has been out a year. We have to monitor it a bit more closely but he is giving us good signs.

'He should be back in the first-team level in three weeks from now, easily.'

That means that in theory he could play at Stamford Brdige in a potentially vital clash. However, it's of course very unlikely that Fergie would risk fielding him there after more than a year on the sidelines so he'll probably return after the international break that follows the Chelsea fixture.

His return is something United fans eagerly anticipate as his dynamism and intelligence could mean very much in central midfield and he can also be used on the right flank when a more defensive outlook is required. Oh, and he's a better right-back than John O'Shea.
