FIFA Clear United But Pogba Case Isn't Over Yet

FIFA have given the green light for United to sign Paul Pogba, the 16-year-old French midfield player who is subject of a dispute between the champions and his former club Le Havre who claim Pogba had breached a contract in order to join us.

However, FIFA found that Le Havre had paid nothing but normal expenses for the player which means that technically he was an amateur; he wasn't on Le Havre's payroll so there was no contract he could breach.

The club issued a statement declaring: 'Manchester United is pleased to confirm that the Football Association has been authorised by FIFA to register Paul Pogba as a Manchester United player with immediate effect.'

But Le Havre dispute this: the French club argue that FIFA merely issued a provisional certificate which is normal procedure in such cases, therefore the latest ruling is a 'non-event'. I obviously haven't seen the official documents in this case but it sounds like clutching at straws: if FIFA authorised the FA to register Pogba then they had clearly found no evidence of wrongdoing.

But it seems Le Havre won't give up so we can expect appeals and plenty of rants against the greedy English clubs. I guess we can live with that, to be honest.

I honestly believe after we are finally cleared that we should sue them for trying to destroy the image of the club....they have absolutely no case so I don't understand what they filed in first place and it doesn't make sense why they would appeal....unless they're trying to show FIFA how much it matters to them so FIFA would seriously consider blocking any future youngster poaching by big clubs...I don't know
