Evra: I Want To Score A Proper Goal Next Time

Patrice Evra admitted that United were desperately poor against Sunderland today. Not that it wasn't obvious anyway... Evra has been excellent so far this season but he hasn't performed anywhere near his abilities against the Black Cats.

"It was a big disappointment because it was a poor display," he said.

"We are very disappointed about the way we played. It was a bad game. We drew, and one point is a bonus. We are pleased to get a point, but I don`t even know if we deserved it.

"We are very frustrated because it looked like we didn`t have any energy or power. It was a bad game for us. You have to say Sunderland played very well. We just didn`t look sharp. Our game was slow, we lost a lot of challenges and in the first half we were very poor."

And what about his goal?

"I just tried to strike it towards goal and it came off Anton Ferdinand. It was a good goal for us, but it`s an own goal. Next time I`ll make sure I score a proper goal!"

Hopefully, next time United will play some proper football, too, because it is not clear what it was we did today...

I couldn't care whether every single one of Evras shots got rebounded off of a defender as long as it goes in the back of the net I will be happy.

Wow! A rare occurrence for a manure player to a) admit you played badly (rather than blaming the ref, the kit, the weather or the ball boys) and B) admit that he is a jammy git! Well done Evra.

In order to score a proper goal you'll have to join a proper team. But we already have Bridge at LB so I'm afraid you'll have to wait!

Wow Kenny have you considered following a career as a comedian? Any idiot in the world would pick Evra over Bridge and would also believe that Man U are the bigger threat, take your superficial beliefs elsewhere, no matter how funny.

With the managerial situation, at Old Trafford, no clearer when it comes to the likes of you and I; everyday appears to bring something new.
