'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'It Is As If Giggs Has Just Started His Career'

Ryan Giggs made another important contribution to Manchester United's cause: he fired in a deflected free-kick to equalise against Wolfsburg then 18 minutes later he poked the ball to Michael Carrick who fired home magnificently. Scoring and providing, Giggs is enjoying a fine season so far.

'The amazing thing is he shows this incredible youthfulness about his performance,' Fergie enthused.

'It is as if he has just started his career.'

'You can give him as many as you like, he doesn't get affected by it, which is good.'

'What more can you say? He is continuing like a young man. He is enjoying his football, which is wonderful to see.'

True indeed but I must admit I do not think Giggs had such a great game yesterday. He did fairly well but it wasn't a devastation on the Citeh scale. Still, you can't exactly knock his contribution and long may he continue to intervene in crucial moments.

I was up at the top of the Stretford End watching this last night - when Giggsy was lining this one up all we could hear was 'Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs running down the wing' and lo and behold he scored (albeit a deflected goal!) right in front of us - you should have heard the crowd roar!! Talking to some fellow Utd fans after the game, we all agreed hes still in top form, and will be sorely missed when he decides to retire....

He sure is showing youthfulness but i wouldnt be too quick comparing giggs now to years ago he's still effective but not quite phenom he use to be.

he's done more this season, already. than when he stole the Footballer of the Year Award last season!

Look at Teddy Sheringham - he was still playing for Utd around this age - and was still sharp on the ball, albiet not as fast - Giggsy still has pace, and takes a mean free kick.....
