Bellamy Is A Thug Like His Friend Adebayor

Craig Bellamy just cannot control himself, it seems. The Welsh striker was excellent at Old Trafford today, we cannot deny that as he scored two brilliant goals. But apparently, he could not handle defeat very well.

After Owen's 96th-minute winner, the stewards messed up badly and allowed a delirious United fan to stupidly run onto the pitch - where Bellamy went and slapped him over the mouth. Thuggish behaviour? Certainly but at least he did not have a golf club with him this time.

Hughes, of course, defended his man, stating that it was unacceptable that the fan ran onto the pitch. Well certainly it was but it makes it no less acceptable to punch him. Assaulting a fan is likely to warrant punishment, as Eric Cantona would testify. But it seems like City players have this in their DNA: after all, it's only a week since Adebayor stamped on the head of a former colleague...

I bet it was the guy who hit Garrido with a coin and planned to finish the job...
RussianHammer
The coin was apparantly thrown at Tevez but he ducked and it hit Garrido

He's not a thug, he's just a stupid **** for going over when the situation was already being dealt with.
EvertonMike
Which was it a 'slap' or a 'punch'? You seem confused in your report.
Thaibluefan
go bellamy! ***** united fans, just mad he scored 2
attwooll9
He outclassed every forward in United colours. Just bitter, I think.
JT_daniel
lol Bellamys first goal was fantastic - his second very lucky that Rio cocked up - how are we bitter when we won?
niteworlok
You might be bitter because you lot dont have a player like him. Have to rely on dodgy defending to get a player who never scores, grab a brace to draw (With the ref getting you that win!). You lot were poor today, just wait till you play us or Liverpool. Against a strong defence, you lot cant do anyting other than hope for a fluke own goal. Tell me one thing. How much do you lot pay the referee?
JT_daniel
Surely United fan was running up to Bellamy to give him a hug and kiss. Kudos to Craig, *****ers that run on the pitch should be smacked and then banned for life from attending any sporting event. And believe me, I am no fan of little crazy man...

A small incident that has been completely blown out of proportion in my opinion.

Tough guy Bellamy punches a fan WHEN he's being held back by four stewards. Real hard nut Craig Bellamy. Idiots on here saying we're bitter because he scored twice are clutching at straws.
NotoriousRedDevil
Bellamy is a scumbag!!! He is a very good player and took his two goals very well.I've played against him when he payed with Norwich and he behaved like a scumbag that day also.I'm not going to go into detail but I seen how he behaves and treats people and have seen it with my own eyes.

If anyone would care to study the Motd video on youtube, the idiot running onto the pitch can be seen to throw something small and shiny away immediately before being rugby tackled. Several City fans who attended the match have posted that this idiot looked to have been carrying a weapon of some sort. I can't say one way or the other whether the guy had a knife or whether it was just his car keys, but nobody in the press has picked up on this, despite it being quite clearly visible on the video footage. So before anyone goes spouting off about how Bellamy is a thug, perhaps we should wait until the police enquiries have established exactly what happened?
fifthcolumnblue
Small and shiny ay? Perhaps another 10p or 5p coin to give to Bellamy towards his swear box.
One United 92
Well fifthcolumblue said that the cit-eh fans said it was a "knife" so it had to be a "knife". The possibility of it being something else isn't realistic.
NotoriousRedDevil
No Fcb, no! These hacks have to respond and create 3 articles about it! Talk about blowing things outta proportion..
JT_daniel
So Bellamy and Adebayor are thugs? Well what about Keane from your not too distant past and Fletcher, Vidic, Scholes and Hargreaves from your current squad for starters?
