Agent: Park Extends United Contract

Ji-sung Park extended his Manchester United contract until 2012, according to his agent. The Korean had a very good 2008/09 season, culminating in a fantastic performance at Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final.

His contribution in the final was disappointing but little more could be expected of him and he barely featured this season, with Valencia arriving and Nani given more chances. Yet Fergie is still counting on him as a useful tactical weapon and contract negotiations have been going on for some time now.

His agent told Yonhap news agency that the deal was done and Park will stay at United until at least 2012.

Park is such a frustrating player. His work rate is impeccable, his runs are amazing and he gets into fantastic positions but there's no end result to it all, he misses more than he scores and sometimes you would think it would be impossible to miss. But i suppose im being rather critical because he is an overall good player to have.

I have to agree with One United...my exact feelings... I thought he could become a big big player...I don't know if the no end product is due to him not getting a decent run in the side ever since joining us or what...but i still like him as a sub...a good player to have in the very least due to his versatility and pace
