Hargreaves'll Be Back At The Club Within A Month

Well, there's a rarity for you: a piece of OFFICIAL information about the recovery of forgotten man Owen Hargreaves, the player we miss most in midfield. The man with the knees made of glass is set to return to Manchester United after an extensive rehabilitation.

'We're in dialogue all the time with Owen and the physio who's conducting his rehabilitation,' Fergie said.

'He'll come with Owen for a week for the change-over so we can understand the treatment and rehabilitation he's been doing.'

'The difficulty is getting him back into football work. I say difficult because we've not seen him all this time.'

'We're certain that his fitness work will be good, we just have to gauge the right time to bring him into football training. You don't have a player out for a year and then just throw him straight into the fire.

'The important thing is to get him back playing to his level, which is a very good level, because he'll be a great addition to us.'

So, Hargo, who'd be a great addition indeed, will return on September 23 but won't be thrown back into the fire immediately. Fergie did not give us an estimate but I would hazard a guess at a potential return by the end of October.

Better late then never, I guess. Let's pray for his knees now.
